a clarity
There have been a few responses across ”socmeed” to write something of a clarification over these writings. While i think it’s utterly important (of apex understanding) to state that i am literally no one in particular. That i assess stuff in the same manner as anyone, including ingesting knowledge across all senses and carefully not disregarding the bad stuff as not truth. I find great strength in the statement “reality isn’t required to adjust to how i feel about it”. Even though feelings do mold our experiences, those feelings are in no way independent of or required to fit into any definition of what reality is, or is not.
I try to promise you, as i try to promise myself that any examination of information about “what reality is”, is entirely biased on the understanding that i cannot remove myself from it, take it apart and make definite assessments about “it”. That reality is not a thing we seek, but we are, ineffably inseparable from. You can basically assume adichotomy is the general understanding of relative experience.
From this view, a practicing “nihilistic” (it’s not nihilism, BTW) view of neti-neti (not this- not that), is where the guru lays, literally. Mediation, in-the-zone, losing track of time, etc. are all practical modes of this view. Where the mind is in tune with and completely consumed by, reality in it’s entirety. In these modes, there is no “other” but the task at hand, when the human falls away and it’s very much like just a process, unencumbered by a do-er doing a thing. By all examinations that i’ve been able to infer, this is the base (or foundation) of everything, including what is generally examined to be “inanimate” things.
If religion has taught us anything, it’s that god (the idea of) is everywhere. That there is no actual independent individual to be found. If you want to speak about a progressive view, this is it, the natural advancement of intellect as understanding. Yet, this view isn’t new and it’s not a discovered view, it “is exactly what it is” at all times, through all things, without cause or caveat. Not-two.
