an obey your master - money edition
Obviously money isn't master of anything. It's a useful tool to exchange labor goods (items) and services (ideas), but beyond that, it's usefulness fades into kindling. I realize that's not particularly insightful, but it seems to continually be a complex idea to need to be reminded of.
The thing about reality, whether you see (understand) it as a monolith or as an individual interpretation, the value of exchange is only immediate that tapers off. Meaning it's doesn't exist outside of it's instant exchange rate. It's not an individuals access to money that's inherently a problem, it's the horde mentality that describes the problem. Just like literally anything else, the more you have access to, the less it's an issue, this applies to knowledge as well as ecosystems, but abundance still doesn't exist in and of itself. Everything you could ever come to is constantly vying around balance. There's is no exit, without an entrance and being is the hinge.
We instinctively push back against the horders of wealth, as it's truly a sickness. The constant idea/feeling to develop more value is just as vapid and destructive as any other type of excessive consumption. And so it goes...
The more you know.
